Greece Nears a Tipping Point in Its Debt Crisis

Greece Nears a Tipping Point in Its Debt Crisis

FRANKFURT — Europe appeared to be lurching toward a moment of decision in its sovereign debt crisis Sunday, as Greece struggled to meet conditions for additional aid amid rising German impatience with the cost.

“Greece’s imminent default is assured,” Carl B. Weinberg, chief economist at High Frequency Economics in Valhalla, New York, wrote in an e-mail Sunday. “Without an injection of cash within the next weeks, the nation will run out of resources to service its debt.” NYT Global Business

Greece & Transits Biwheel

What does Greece have in common with the USA? Prominent planets in cardinal signs – particularly Venus (USA/Greece) and Jupiter (USA). Greece’s Saturn at 11 Cancer closely conjoins the USA’s Sun and squares the USA’s Saturn. A thin-skinned and delicate situation.

National pride and self-esteem are caught up with assets in the bank. Greece’s Ascendant at 13 Cancer is in exact conjunction to the USA’s Sun. This and the aforementioned tight cross-aspects link our fate with Greece’s from the point of view of a shared crisis of debt to asset ratio.

Whereas the USA isn’t likely to default on its debt now or in the future, Greece’s difficulties and faltering alliance with EEC reveals a country under great duress.

If default is imminent, then Greece’s meltdown along with ongoing struggles in Spain, Italy and Ireland, could spell a worldwide depression.

I don’t want to be the spreader of gloom and doom, nor do I want anyone to mistake this tiny bit mundane astrology with anything like financial expertise. The idea of a European or worldwide depression comes from columns written by nobel laureates in economics such as Paul Krugman and Joseph Stiglitz. Nouriel Roubini of NYU is another of my favorites who is “affectionately” nicknamed Dr. Doom.

I’d go with what these experts are saying. I sought to find planetary evidence in Greece’s chart of the coming collapse which isn’t any secret.

There’s a cardinal grand square in Greece’s chart that’s formed up by the transits of Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn. The world is set for 7 Uranus-Pluto squares between 2012 and 2015, and clues as to how the aspect will play out have already been revealed. First, by the formation of the grand cross in the USA’s chart over most of 2010 and now in Greece’s chart.

Uranus signal sudden, violent, breaking apart. Pluto signals the kind of long-term erosion and disintegration that causes huge collapses. Connecting the dots to the USA’s chart and Greece’s chart, we’re looking at financial collapse (Venus and Jupiter are the money planets).

Along with plutonic erosion, we’re also witnessing draconian slapdowns of the most vulnerable in America and across the globe. As nations struggle to make ends meet (while not daring to upset or inconvenience the uber-rich), those least able to fight or advocate for themselves are being thrown upon the sacrificial alter of predatory capitalism. The poor must pay for the sins of elite.

There are no easy outs or convenient fixes left in the world’s goodie boxes.

Neptune hovering by retrograde in Greece’s 8th house of debt signals a draining out. A siphoning off of not only cash, but life force. A nation dying, or rather, fading and melting away. Neptune’s square to Greece’s VERTEX in the 5th house of speculation and gambles signals a fated encounter with the kind of meltdown signaled in stock markets.

  1. thanks, how did you figure the natal chart for Greece? its under 40 yrs?

and its current president was born in 1929…???

  2. Hi Lisa, here are the bona fides for Greece’s horoscope:

    Modern Greece:
July 24th 1974, 04.00, Athens (source Book of World Horoscopes) by Nicholas Campion.

Wikipedia: In July 1974, the Greek junta sponsored a coup in Cyprus led by extremist Greek Cypriots against the government of President Makarios, citing his alleged pro-communist leanings and his perceived abandonment of enosis, or political union with Greece. Turkey, citing the 1960 Treaty of Guarantee, intervened militarily to protect Turkish Cypriots. In a two-stage offensive, Turkish troops took control of 38% of the island. Almost all Greek Cypriots subsequently fled south while almost all Turkish Cypriots moved to the north.

Turkish military victory[1][2][3][4][5] Landing of Turkish troops in the northern part of Cyprus on July 20, 1974. Fall of the Greek military junta in Athens three days later, on July 23, 1974.
(Victory declared 4 am July 24, 1974, per Nick Campion)
Declaration of independence of the (internationally unrecognised) Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on November 15, 1983 on Turkish occupied Northern Cyprus.
    1821 – Greece: Independence day
    March 25, 1821
    12.00.00 PM LMT (+00)
    Kalavryta, Greece
    22E06’00”; 38N01’00”
    Asc: 19Cn25; Mc2Ai47
Source: “The revolt against the Turks began in 1821 … on 25 March 1821 Germanos, the Metropolitan of Old Patras, raised the banner of revolt at his monastery … 25 March is accepted as the symbolic date of the revolt … [The chart] is cast for 12.00 noon … Campion, “Book of World Horoscopes,” p. 186.
Additional information: “The Greek War of Independence began in 1821. Greek fighters swept down from the mountains and defeated the Ottomans in the Peloponnesus, in Rumely in central Greece, and on many islands in the Aegean Sea. The Greeks held out against repeated Ottoman attacks. In 1825, Egyptian forces allied with the Ottoman Empire invaded the Peloponnesus, and an Ottoman army moved into Greece from the north. Together, they overran the regions that had been freed by the Greeks. But the Ottomans and Egyptians could not defeat the Greeks nor end the revolution.” The World Book Encyclopedia, CD-Rom edition, 1997.

  3. super great, thanks a lot 😉

  4. We recall that the horoscope of Greece are those associated with the Second Protocol of London on 03.02.1830, with Sun in Aquarius and 14th in the second Ascendant Gemini, hence on the 12th at noon. We analyze in detail because only this horoscope horoscope can be seen in Greece, just now remind that then enshrined the independence of Greece and not just autonomy.
What will happen in GREECE, dept and leaving the eurozone?

    • Hello, Kontesina, thank you for your input. I’m using the data that is post Greek military Junta (1967-1974) as a modern view into the Greece of today. The 1974 chart seems to reflect very well current conditions in the country. Like the USA, Greece (and other countries, including the UK) have different charts reflecting different eras and historic events or chart times and many seem to resonate very well when compared with current events. There is also this chart from Nick Campion’s “Book of World Horoscopes on page 186: March 25, 1821, 12.00.00 PM LMT (+00), Kalavryta, Greece, 22E06’00”; 38N01’00”. In New Style, I get 7 LE rising.
