This New Moon conjoins the United State’s natal Saturn and squares (challenges) the USA’s Cancerian Sun. Since it takes Saturn 29 1/2 years to go around the zodiac, the USA is also in line for her 8th Saturn return two months from now!

This New Moon on the USA’s Saturn in square to the USA Sun vibrates with the Sun’s meet up with transiting Saturn in Libra on the autumn solstice of 9/22.

Sun and Saturn represent the president (Sun) and his authority (Saturn). Current trends reveal the administration’s powerful struggle to maintain the upper hand between now and midterm election day. The party in power (Sun-Saturn) seeks to maintain it’s advantage. It will not be easy and will not go as well as hoped. But also not as bad as some forecasters are hinting at. October 3 brings the second of 3 Venus-Mars communions. The final one in this 6 1/2 year cycle takes place on May 23, 2011.

Our current Venus-Mars meet up is in the fixed water sign Scorpio at 13 degrees of the sign. The Sabian Symbol is:

“An Inventor Performs a Laboratory Experiment.”

This symbol advises that if things are not working the way we’d like them to, then it’s time to experiment with new modes and methods. New thought, new behavior, different view points open the door for creative discovery that lead us to innovative solutions.

Whatever the change is about, it will be deep and intense because Scorpio won’t be satisfied with skimming the surface. When it comes to relationships, Scorpio is all or nothing. You’re either “in” or you’re “out.” Scorpio will not suffer betrayal or anything less than complete authenticity.

If any person, place, or thing needs to be ejected from your life, now is the time to do it. If a relationship potential is not panning out, it’s time to move on. Any compromises made now will only serve to prolong the hang up.

Heads up: Venus goes retrograde on October 8 to November 18th. Retrogrades are times when the planet in question doesn’t work at full capacity. All things associated with Venus will work at only half steam for the 40 days the love goddess is in reverse motion.

Wait to get that make-over
Don’t buy a new wardrobe YET
Don’t get that new hair cut YET
Don’t schedule a bridal shower, engagement party or baby shower or any other big party unless it absolutely must be done in that time frame.
Don’t buy your wedding gown, party dress or other formal attire unless you absolutely have to due to time constraints
Don’t plan any luxury travel because Jupiter of long journeys is also retrograde until November 18
Don’t seek a raise at work or if one is handed out by management, it may not be as high as you hoped
Don’t settle a lawsuit involving a money settlement unless you absolutely have to in that time frame.

All matters that are Venus-ruled are diluted during her retrograde and don’t quite live up to expectation. Especially since gigantic Jupiter is also in backward mode!

The good news: Both Venus and Jupiter will be in direction motion just in time for the holidays!
